Verstappen secures his sixth victory of the season, enhancing his lead in the F1 Drivers' Championship to 56 points.
Red Bull's triple world champion Max Verstappen has clinched a hat-trick of victories at the Canadian Grand Prix in a wet, wild, and challenging race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
On Sunday, Verstappen, starting alongside Mercedes pole-sitter George Russell, remained untroubled amidst varying conditions and took the lead from McLaren's Lando Norris during the final pit stops.
The Dutch driver then held on to secure his sixth victory out of nine races this season, marking the 60th win of his Formula One career.
It was an exceptional drive from the 26-year-old, who managed changing weather, pit stop battles, and challenges from McLaren and Mercedes, while handling his Red Bull's suspension issues.
After an incident between Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and Williams's Alex Albon that brought out the safety car for a second time, Verstappen pulled away at the restart, finishing 3.879 seconds ahead of Norris. Russell managed to win an intense duel with teammate Lewis Hamilton to complete the podium.
Verstappen now leads the Formula One (F1) Drivers' Championship with 194 points, while Ferrari's Charles Leclerc follows with 138 points.
