Palestinians have fled the Shujayea neighborhood of Gaza City following Israeli air raids and ground incursions, reports Gaza's civil defense.

Dr. Muhammad Ghurab of al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City stated that the hospital received seven fatalities, including four children, and over 40 injured individuals as Israeli forces advanced in the east of Shujayea.

Civil defense teams have been working to retrieve bodies from the rubble, with search and rescue operations ongoing. Hamas condemned the attacks, labeling them part of a relentless assault that has resulted in casualties and forced mass displacements.

Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmoud reported that residents were caught off guard by tank and drone attacks following overnight bombings in Gaza City, with continuous shelling prompting widespread evacuations.
